Julix... Serenity is the motion picture CONTINUATION of the canceled Joss Whedon television series Firefly which briefly aired on Fox in 2002.

For my money, it's the best SciFi TV series since the real BSG.  If you are a member of Netflix, add it to your list... otherwise, check with your friends.... chances are SOMEONE owns the DVD set and will be happy to lend it to you.

The series (and the movie) features a character named Inara, who is a "Companion" (read:  socialator).  The kick in the pants is that, 500 years in the future, "Companion" is an honored and respected profession!

I think you might like Firefly too!

Its definitely worth a rental. And if you do get it, make sure you see the Serenity pilot (the tv episode not to be confused with the movie Serenity) and Out of Gas. I loved those two.

Oh...And the episode Ariel is interesting to me. that was where I went to school for awhile. They used that place as the outdoor and indoor set.
