I think Laurette's character Cassie, is a great example of how you can change your life if you want to. She went from being a socialator to a medtech. No judgement there, just commenting on the change...It inspired me back when I saw the original that people can change their lives if they want to.

Warrior. Sunday is a day of rest. Friday and Saturday night I presume are the best days in that line of work.
Cassie was always a great character. Funny, sexy, beautiful with lots of guts. As I recall, she went on a lot of away missions. Wouldn't mind her as a medtech at all. I only had one female Doctor at the VA and she sure didn't look like Cassie.(Was having a physical) Dagnabit

Cassie is just one of numerous characters in BSG, that make both good characters dramawise, but good roll models. One of the qualities that make this show almost unique, and still worth it, after so many yea....yahrens.
