This should be a fun day out...

Dear Aitch,

For twelve years, Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council have been recognising the contribution that famous individuals whose careers have involved film and television production at the past and present studios in Elstree and Borehamwood in an area which was once given the title of The British Hollywood.
Usually these special events take place behind close doors, but now film fans and local residents will be able to attend, although spaces are strictly limited.

Details of all forthcoming plaque unveilings will now be added to my website, Elstree Calling, as they are confirmed and I will be doing all I can to help promote these events on the aforementioned website and beyond.

Those people purchasing tickets for these events will automatically be added to a mailing list and sent news about future plaque unveilings.

Bryan Forbes CBE

Tickets are now available for the first plaque unveiling being held this year. This event will honour the distinguished career of the veteran actor, producer, director & author, Bryan Forbes CBE. Special guests joining Bryan at this event will include Lord Richard Attenborough. Other celebrity guests are also expected to attend this event.

In addition to the plaque unveiling ceremony, there will be a short video tribute and a Q&A session with the special guests conducted by Morris Bright, in which the audience will be invited to participate.

Had a great day out at Elstree Studios yesterday (13th) and got to sit and talk with Sir Richard Attenborough, Brian Forbes CBE. and my old boss Darth Vader (Dave Prowse) from Star Wars.
Met up with Mr and Mrs Smudge from Brit Movie forum (Nice couple).Paul Burton and Paul Welsh were good to chat to and of course my good friend Bob Redman and his lovely wife.
Thanks to all the other folk for making it a day to remember.
