Your Most Exciting Star Wars "Moment"

What was the most exciting moment for you, in all of the Star Wars saga, all six films? I'm not asking what scene you enjoyed most, or what action sequence you enjoyed most, so your answer cannot be "The Hoth AT-AT battle", or "the 3-way lightsaber duel in TPM". I am asking, what moment, what precise moment was the most exciting for you? What gave you the biggest rush?
I have been, and who hasn't, waiting with eager anticipation for 27 years to finally see the great Anakin/Vader vs. Obi-Wan duel. That was one of the biggest things that I'd been dying to see all these years. My answer to the question I posted in this thread, is not that the duel was the most exciting moment to me, becasue this is not about scenes, this is about a moment.
I had waitied all those years to see that duel and it was one of the biggest if not the biggest events I craved seeing in the prequels. When Obi-Wan revealed himself to Vader on the landing platform, I knew it was coming real soon. The excitement was building...
Obi-Wan: "I shall do as I must."
(
Here it comes,
I thought,
its going to happen very soon, any minute now.
)
Vader: "You will try!"
Lightsabers ignite and the two warriors swing at each other, their saber blades striking each other...
That was it, that was the moment! That moment, when the duel began, was the moment that filled me with so much excitement because it was finally happening, finally beginning. That was when the rush hit me the most. The excitement continued, no less, but that was the moment for me, the moment when all those years of waiting finally came to light.
Now before anyone says their moment is the 20th Century Fox fanfare music, or the booming Star Wars music as the title appears, I have to remind you that EVERY SW fan feels excited at the start of each SW movie (heck I even get that excitement thinking about SW when the 20th Century Fox music sounds before any 20thCF film). So, I have to exclude the opening sequence, and pose this topic for the actual storyline sequences of the films themselves.
So what say you? Which was your moment?

The "moment" for me, was near the beginning of Star Wars. I was 6 years old, and this was the first movie I had ever seen in the theaters. I can remember to this day how on the edge of the seat I was when the empire boards the rebel ship, and there is shooting going on in both directions.
Now look at it through a 6 year olds eyes who had never been in a theater before. I actually felt like I was getting shot at. In a big, dark room, with laser fire going both ways.
But to answer your question, that moment was when R2D2 and C3P0 were in the middle of the crossfire, with me worrying that they were going to get shot. I don't think I breathed. I think I was standing. That was the most tension I can ever remember, still to this day.
Of course I left the theater assuming that all movies that you saw in theaters were going to be that good...

Whoa, I can imagine that feeling for a six year old. What a rush it must have been, and to remember it so vividly even now. Nice memory.

I have to agree, I sat in the movie theater blow awy. Never seen anything like it and held so many movies up to that standard. It was truely amazing. Can't believe you aren't more of a Sweek(star wars geek) Anyway........I still need to think.........Ron distracted me this morning

Hmmmm.....
For me...I would have to say it was just the entire experience of Episode III...seeing things finally come full circle after 30 years.
From securing my ticket, to walking through the doors, through enduring the many trailers the precede the movie....and then, the movie itself. Leaving with the sensation that "Damn, George, ya got it right!"
Respectfully,

Oh...addendum.
WHen I was a kid...I never got to see any of the SW movies on opening night...that I recall.
I rectified that in my later years when SW was rereleased as the special editions in the theatres...I have now caught EVERY single SW movie on opening night. There. That is a good moment for me. To be among the first to see the new movies, and the rereleases of the classics.
REspectfully,
Martok2112

Ack! Wrong answer my friend! This is about one specific moment, not the whole experience. I'm looking for that one momen, that one moment that stands out to you as what excited you the most.

Julix,
You know, I've spent this time thinking about that. I mean, it was the first movie I saw in theaters, I had the posters, toys, watches, bedsheets, curtains, etc. So why was I more BSG fan?
I guess I identified with the characters more. Star Wars was a bit too alien. But I wanted Adama to be my father. And I wanted to be Apollo.
Maybe that's why...

Well,
I love both shows,,,,,,,,,,,
of course with Lucas being creator there is continuity(well sme fans don't like the prequels)so there is current stuff for me to be into. With BG, it is very special to me, which is why I am here. I have met some really cool people through BG(the forums-cons)The SW boards are a mess!!!
