Here is my city of Lego, a representation of a miles wide section of Coruscant (the Republic capital in the Star Wars films), 8 feet long and 3 and 1/2 feet wide, made up of over 30,000 pieces of Lego. That largest spire on the table is in the far corner to the right, a thick blue building that is 3 feet, 2 inches high.

Warrior, you saw that already, although it has grown and changed since you saw those pics about 2 years ago.

I kept adding to it over time, so I don't know how long it took me in a total number, but I have had it in various versions and changes for about 4 years, more like 5 actually. I had to buy many, many kits and buckets to do it, and at one point scored a winning bid on EBAY and got 4,000 pieces in one buy. So, I bought a good number of 1200 piece and then 1000 piece buckets, and several expensive individual kids or SW ships and regular airplanes, exc., to use specific shapes and designed peices to detail the buildings better.

I have lost track of how much I've spent, although I do know that I have crossed the $1,000 mark. I still have all reciepts and I would guess that it's at about 1,300 or 1,400 by now.

As well as:

and:

and finally:

Of course this is not Earth, it is in a galaxy far, far away. But I did make a tribute to the World Trade Center Twin Towers, atop the pedestal of another building's roof. And the towers are in scale to the rest of the city, to give you an idea of how massive those spires in the fantasy world are.

Damn, you're right. It was yours I was thinking of when I saw that new image. Couldn't remember who did it though.

Still looks awesome.

You were probably thinking, "Hmm, that looks like another Lego city I saw once...but this one is much bigger and nicer so it couldn't be the same one.  Smiley  That was not long after I'd joined Fleets, me thinks, btw.
