Serenity is not doing as well as expected...........so we all need to unite and see Serenity again, or at all if you haven't we need to support sci-fi movies and I do think this is one of the better ones......so let's go for it

Production budget 50 million, worldwide gross to date 20 million...
I'm betting it will turn a profit after DVD release.

Actually, the final production budget was only 39 million. Of course, Uni expected to make 15 million in domestic box the first weekend alone...and they didn't. Potential sequels remain on the bubble... and will depend on strong overseas sales as well as DVD.

I went last night.........it was so much more enjoyable because the shock factor was not there. I knew what was gonna happen. It was really fun! another good thing..........the theater was full! Yeah! I was worried cause there was only 10 of us to start, but by the time it started it was full.....I was so happy. I can't wait to see the numbers this weekend.

I agree, and if all goes well, maybe next weekend between the DO and practice. Thankfully I dont ahve to cheer any games for the next month or so. I got dropped about a week ago in a basket toss, missed the catch, but they say it was MY fault, the crooks! So I ended up on my shoulder and neck, still hurts in my shoulder and its sorta black and blue. So Im not having to compete or anything for a while, which gives me time ot go to the show.

HELP......
What in the world was I thinking...a dear friend of mine's husband called and told me Beth had delivered thier daughter 2 weeks early....mom and baby are fine..HOWEVER..i do intend to "kill" Daniel later...seems they promised to take Danny and a "few" friends to see Serenity this Saturday
for his birthday but what with the baby..yadda..yadda
Anyway, being the good ex-friend that I am..I said oh sure...Well , to make a long story short and just thinking about this....(chills)... Beth called me and wanted to thank me for agreeing to take the " TTROOP " tro the movie.(troop ..as in 15 boys under the age of 15)....
If yoiu never hear from me after Saturday night..please think well of me.

Serenity is up to 38 million worldwide.............
Not quite, according to boxofficemojo.com:
Quote
TOTAL LIFETIME GROSSES
Domestic: $24,940,965 71.4%
+ Overseas: $9,971,849 28.6%
= Worldwide: $34,912,814
But getting closer all the time. I doubt we'll get three million more from the overseas box, though. But make plans to buy that DVD on 20 Decmeber! In the words of Ronco, "It's the
perfect
Christmas gift."
