Aquaman was always underutilized on Super Friends and Justice League. The only usefulness he had was in water, which the writers had to go out of their way just to include him for.
I always thought he had such potential on his own. He never should have joined a group to become one of the original 7 Justice League of America.
Now Zan mentions Isis on tv. I assume you are talking about the cartoon. I was really young when that came out, it's one of the first cartoons that I can remember. But guess who did voice work on one of the episodes?
Laurette Spang. Small world, huh.
Now debating Marvel vs. DC. I was always at DC fan to start with in the Justice League. But then I started reading X-Men. It seemed like the X-Men were a team, while the Justice League was an all star team that didn't work well together. I also loved how Marvel comics focused on the downside of being a hero, as well as not winning every battle.
And then CT mentions Shazam. He kind of got put in the shadow of Superman, which isn't fair. The whole mythology of Shazam made him a VERY cool character. I saw the old serials on vhs in the 40's.
But guess what, there is a Shazam movie in development!
