Def and Bryan Adams toured here in Chicago last summer.  That was confusing enough for me to wrap my head around as a combo.  THEN the radio ads announced kids under 12 get in free?Huh??  Since when were the gods of backstage escapades a kids act?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Tux,

They came to Charleston as well.  They didn't let in kids free.  Not making fun but an observation.  I saw more amputees that night at the concert than the rest of my life put together.

martok,

I noticed on another forum you said:

You got some splainin to do.  Robert Byrd says you are fined any West Virgnia quarters in your pockets.

I thought you would be proud of your Appalachian American status.

You can take the boy out of the holler...

But seriously, that was taken at the new ball park in Charleston.  You should see it.  It's sweet!  They tore down Watt Powell Park.  University of Charleston and Charleston Area Medical Center bought the property and are splitting the land and building a medical research center and some sports arena/track/something.

LOL!  I'll 'splain.  Cheesy

No, I have plenty of friends there in WV.  A lot of my family I really don't care for.  Otherwise, WV doesn't really hold anything for me.  I couldn't play music in WV, and make the kind of moolah that I am on Bourbon St.  If there is ANYTHING I do miss about WV, it is my friends.  Smiley

Charleston is gonna outgrow itself fast. Smiley   My favorite places to hang out down there were the Charleston Town Center, and the Park Place Cinema.   Saw many movies there.   Had a friend who would let me in for free....and I sometimes would catch three flicks in a day....for nothin' but the cost of snacks and drinks. Smiley

Of course, I miss Hooters on Kanawha Avenue.  Cheesy

To my knowledge, they have not.  However, there is also a Hooters that is only a 20 minute walk from where I live, and I have to see if they've reopened.  They were slated to this month, but it depends on if they were able to hire girls and staff yet.  Smiley
