Julix,

I didn't meet him.  I wrote him a nice letter and he signed a card for me.

Thanks,
Mike

jilex, give him some more ambrosa, bat your eyes at him seductively, and then

I think jilex and Rosie at the 602 Club in Enterprise are really the same person. Both lovely ladies, smart and know how to keep the customers happy by supplying the booze. <g>

one thing that was so typical though.............
there were two women walking in front of me who were obviously not with starfest, because they kept whipering to themselves afterseeing someone in costume "did you see THAT?' they were just horriified and they were snickering to themselves.  Then one said "I kind of liked Star Trek, but not THAT much!!" and I am thinking to myself..this is so typical of the attitiude sci-fi fans run into.  Then the two women meet up with their table of people and ask "did you guys remember your lightsabers' very sarcastically....and they all laugh.

One has to wonder why they were there. Thrill seeking on the dangerous side of life, perhaps??

As I was telling hubby about this he said are Sci-fi people the only people on earth that know how to have fun?Huh?  I say YES indeed we are!!!!

Us SCA folk know how to have fun, too, and like SF&F people we get the 'aren't you too old for dressups' sniggers too, but its usually a nervous expression of total envy. How many people can really top the idea of going to war for Easter with 900 of your mates?  And you are immediatley the coolest with any child under 12, which is more than adequate compensation for their parents snooty attitude..

Cheers,
Lara
