Well, I just finished my first weekend of the last show I am doing with the drama guild.  It is good that the last show I am doing has me taking the final bow.  I suspect that next Sunday will be an emotional one.  21 years of acting is now coming to a close.

I am playing Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest and I am in the zone right now.  It feels good to go out on a high note.  It took me a spell to get the proper british accent down.  Had to work with a cd and watch a lot of Sir Alec Guinness.

This is it.  It is more emotional than I thought it would be to say that this is it, but I am very comfortable with the decision.

I bet you are only on vacation, not retired.  You never know.

i don't buy it for a minute. You may not go on stage, but acting is in the blood, it doesn't go away you change it.

If you don't act, you WRITE. Better than singing in the shower.

It's too much time away from my little one.  3 nights a week for six to eight weeks for a hobby is too much time...especially 3 or 4 times a year.

ah you do have a legitimate point. You forget about things like that when the kids are grown.
