Gang,

I'm planning on going to the Marcon convention in Columbus (don't know which day I'm going yet).  Richard Hatch will be there.  It is scheduled from May 27-29.  The good news is that BLAM! press will be releasing the Great War of Magellan comics there.

I was wondering if anybody else was going.  It's a relative small con (1,800 estimated) and Hatch is the only BSG scheduled to attend.

I plan on asking him how much he knows about how big his role will be in TNS in Season 2.  Though it might be posted somewhere else already.

Any other good questions to ask him while I'm there?

Mike

Let me think on that..........You will love meeting him, he is so personable and really enjoys meeting fans.  I sw his GWOM trailer, it looks quite good.  I saw some GWOM art rendering on his website and it looked really awesome.  That is great news Mike.

Julix,

I met him once several years ago at Marcon.  Jack Stauffer was also there.  I asked Jack if he had been acting currently.  He told me it was difficult these days for tv actors who were older to get parts.  I asked him why.  He said that a lot of older movie actors were doing tv these days, so he didn't have as much of a chance competing against them.

Richard was wonderful.  He was VERY nice and did enjoy talking to the fans.  He talked to anyone that would listen about his idea for his continuation.  He had lots of art, story lines, etc on his table for people to look at.   He was REALLY pushing the idea.

Mike,
when was this?   I am thinking it was in the big push Richard was doing to try and bring BG back which they did but in a totally different way.  I know he really wanted to have a continuation.....as did I.  Do I.  That is why I am happy about the campaign.  Did you get a picture or auto?(from richard or Jack???)  I think Jack is right there is an age thing in Hollywood. Sad

Julix,

I can't remember which year it was when I went to Marcon.  But I have the con book at mom's.  I'm going there tomorrow so I'll find out which year it was.

I have a picture of me with Hatch, and I have a picture of me with Stauffer.

I had them both sign my Battlestar Galactica Movie Poster.  It was my first of MANY BG auto's.

Julix,

I found the date when I went to Marcon and met Stauffer and Hatch who was pushing the revival.  It was May 2000.

I am excited.   I haven't seen him for 5 years.

I'm disappointed that only one other person on the fleets forums has said that they are going.

I'm also disappointed in Marcon.  I emailed them three times to confirm that Hatch will be there.  He may be filming for the new series (I hope)!

I plan on asking him if he can tell me if he is in the second season BSG, and if so, how many episodes.

Though he probably can't tell.  Unless he isn't in it at all.

But hopefully he will be there and I can get a new pic for my avatar.

I'm sure you are tired of looking at this one by now.  It's five years old!

Well,
First off I am not tired of looking at it..........but a new one would be cool   Cool  Good question to ask Hatch, I think he said in his chat he was going to be in the second season.  It would be good to see how many episodes.  Also I think his book is due out this year sometime.  Any other questions you are thinking of asking?

Well, that's why I had posted this thread.  To get some ideas about other things to ask.

I did hear back from Marcon.  It said to check the website for any news or developments.

Like we all haven't been burned like that a time or two.
