Well, I didn't go.  I hear that he wasn't there at all.  And he is still listed as the guest of honor on the website.

Even worse, I hear that Anne Lockhart WAS there.  And, you guessed it, was never put on the website.

I MISSED ANNE!!!!!!

We did not discover until Wed that Richard's schedule would not allow him to attend this year.
You are correct about a more timely update.  Most of us are at the hotel setting up on Wed and Thurs and that may have been why the web page was not updated.  
Did you make it to Marcon?  Richard recommended Ann Lockhart as a last minute replacement and she did a lovely job as a last minute replacment.

how sad...........to have gotten that after the fact.   Well there are always lessons to be learned from mistakes.  I know with the con I am trying to do I will remember this situation and try to avoid it.  Perhaps a laptop at the hotel.....whoever is in charge of the website should make regular updates.  I did see a change in starfest line up this year and they did have it posted before the con.  somethings were unable to get updated in the printed materials but i think they did a good job of informing the guests(as possible).


This was very unfortunate...............
