I really liked this one..............feel a huge rush of emotion at the end when the Doctor hugged Sarah Jane and said something like "my Sarah Jane" Now, I didn't get to see many episodes with her but the few Tom Baker episodes I have seen, had her in it and I did really like her. I don't know how her relationship with the Doctor ended or what it was like other than it was clear they had an affection for each other as did Rose and Chris...and David. I did like the explanation that the Doctor who regenerates, therefore never ages couldn't bear to see Sarah Jane wither and die because he ......didn't quite say loved but you knew that is what was implied. Then in the storyline when he is tempted to try to "save" everyone she convinces him it is the way of things for everything to die, or to loose things....etc. Liked that! I think the main storyline was fine. I give it an 8.5 out of 10.
Also I loved k-9 and was so sad when I thought he was gone

You know the Tom Baker years rocked.  He was my favorite by far.

Speaking of the series, I just saw an episode of the new series last week.  I didn't much care for it.  It seemed like a ghost story with the light being reflected through the telescope to defeat the werewolf.  Reminded me again of a Scooby-Doo episode.

I liked the first Dr. better I think.  Do you like the new one Julix?

I loved last Chris Eccleson as the Doctor............he was so excellent!!  I want to get those DVD's.  The new Doctor is growing on me, he is actually quite entertaining.  The episode you saw was not liked overall by fans as much, I thought it was pretty good but if they re run this one, you will like it mike and also try to catch the series if you can, you will like it!.

I also have recently seen tom Baker and it is very good!

Yep Tom Baker was Dr. Who for me. I did not like his replacement who I think was only around for a year.It was a short lived series here in Arizona (since I don't have cable. I did enjoy it when I was able to watch it.

Like so many BBC shows I catch them on PBS like Brother Cadfael.
