And this is just a ton of fun! I found this...a fan-made music video using clips from probably the entire new Battlestar Galactica series, showing nothing but six minutes of wonderful visuals of intense space warfare. I wish I got the Sci-Fi channel, because this show looks unbelievable. I must get the DVD collection as soon as I have time to sit aznd watch it.

Anyway, here it is, and wow. Just simply wow.

Thanks for finding the first one especially.  I am not a fan of the new show but there may be people who are!  Hope you are doing well Ron!  Hugs!

I've seen the first clip several times.  Battlestars get their asses handed to 'em by the Star Destroyers.

The TNS Galactica clip was a nice job too.

I seem to recall a SD sent to it's reward in there as well.

Yes, I do believe one did go Tango Uniform in that slugfest. Smiley

Which was kind of nice. One gets weary of the SDs always winning in these scenarios. Besides, I think a Colonial BS would acquit itself a tad better, given the situation.

The only real reason I would give a Star Destroyer the upper hand in this scenario is because they possess ion cannons, which are capable of disrupting another ship's electrical and electronic systems, rendering it helpless.  (That the SD's never used them in the movies can only be described as "it's in the script." Smiley  ).   If an SD were to use such weaponry as a first strike method on a battlestar...the BS would find itself in a world of deep puuduu.

Well, not being a gamer or a red-toothed Warsie, I tend to go solely by what was on screen. Not what has been invented by gsmers et al. Film is canon. (Or perhaps cannon?)

Indeed....but then, I do bring the info from the Lucasfilm Archives, upon which the games drew their information.

However, you are pretty much correct....usually what appears on film is canon.   George Lucas is pretty categorical about what he considers canon in Star Wars.

BTW, you do remember my writeups at Fleets?  One scenario with the Star Destroyer annihilating the Galactica, and the other being the complete reverse?  (Of course, just think of those as quickened fanfic. Cheesy )

No, I do not, but I may eventually shake it out. I'm not a Warsie, and I would like to see a one-on-one between a Battlestar and an ISD. No back up, no super-duper-uber doo-dads. Just a slugfest.
