DC was so fun! But it was cold, not snowy cold but 50 degree cold. I had no idea 50 degrees could be so cold. When it is 50 in colorado it is warm. I have since been told it is the humidity, great. Wish I would have known that! We were wearing double coats and I was still freezing. We did so much walking it was unreal but so cool. I saw the actual hat Lincoln wore when he was shot, I saw the half nude statue of George Washinton that was unveiled at the capitol in colonial times that shocked americans because they couldn't handel him with his shirt off, it is a beautiful piece of art. We toured the capital and saw the spot where they lay important people in state. We ate at a resturant called The monicle where important people eat because it is right by the capital and supreme court. We knew we were sitting around high powered people just not sure who they were. The head guy has been there since the 60's and very nice! Cherry blossoms very pretty although it was not peak bloom. Julianna and I bought a grow your own cherry blossom tree kit and have already started, they are seedlings so we will see. More to come when I get my strength up........
