Veterans day is November 11th. It used to be called armistice Day. 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month when the armistice of World War I went into effect.

On 11/11/2011, I will be marching with the VVA East Valley Chapter 1011 and I will once again proudly carry the Air Force Flag as I did last year. This will be my 3rd march.

If you can, get out to a parade and welcome the Vets home.

Well it started at 11:00 am with a flyover with a B-17 escorted by a P-51 Mustang.  I drafted my 15 year old grandson to carry the POW/MIA flag. When the parade was over, I went to tempe to teh Traveling Wall exhibt and worked our VVA table for 3 hours.   Met a lot of Vets. Lots of hand shake and a few hugs to erase some tears.

A good day to remember all of the men and women who have put their lives on the line fo rthis country.
