Grandma's Hands

Made in 48 hours and screened at a packed Kodak Theater in Hollywood, "Grandma's Hands" was up against some stiff competition, tying with the Alanis Morissette entry for "Most Elevating" Music Video. It also tied for Best Director honors, and netted Jake the Best Editor award.

Congratulations to Jake for his award-winning effort!

Convention Appearance Canceled
Written By: 09-15-07

It is with the deepest regret that Laurette has had to withdraw from the convention on the 29th.

Family obligations now conflict with that date, and they of course must take precedence over her planned appearance.

We're grateful for your understanding. Thank you.

Katrina Relief
Written By: Darrell 09-03-05

Hurricane Katrina may have delivered the worst natural disaster to the shores of the United States in its history. We’ve all seen the pictures of the utter devastation, the houses under water, the dead, the towns and villages in its path reduced to splintered rubble, indeed wiped from the face of the earth. Even the too-recent Indonesian tsunami did not deliver this level of destruction – or this level of human suffering and need.

The people of Louisiana and Mississippi need our help. People are still dying. They need food, shelter, medicine, clothing – and they need hope. It will be weeks, even months before any semblance of normalcy returns to the area. Years, perhaps, before all is made as it was before.

We are proudly joining with these sites and organizations, and individuals in issuing the call to all fans of science fiction to contribute all they can, and contribute it now. We urge you to give to the organization of your choice, specifying “Hurricane Katrina Relief” on your donation. We urge you to check with your employer about matching contributions; many companies will match the charitable contributions of their employees.

“Let the word go forth, to every man, woman and child…”
